Welcome!

My name is Kate Klein and I am a Trumbull, Connecticut based artist/illustrator/painter/crafter - basically I'm a jack of all trades. My first love was pen and ink drawings but I have since branched out and work in many other mediums.
A little bit about my background: In 2005 I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art with a concentration in Painting from Central Connecticut State University and then in 2010 I earned a Master's degree in Elementary and Art Education at the University of Bridgeport. After some soul searching I decided that teaching is not for me and made the decision to go back to school and find what I'm looking for. I enrolled in some Graphic Design courses at Norwalk Community College and couldn't be happier to be back in the classroom learning new tools and exploring a new medium!
There is never enough time to learn new things about yourself and the world. You can never have too many new experiences! It surprises me how some people think that once you reach 18 years old and become an "adult", you stop learning and growing. We are always evolving! With that said, I never get bored of learning or creating and plan on building a diverse career in the arts. I recently opened my own store on Etsy, where I sell my crafts (bridal shoes, silk flower bouquets and vintage purses). In just a few months I have had great success and look forward to building my own crafting business!
You can see a small sample of my work on this website, both old and new. Please take some time, look around and enjoy! I am always working on something new so check back for updates!
